I caught a queen in August and my boyfriend and I have been caring for her. She is in her test tube set up and now she has babies!! I am so excited to start a colony, but I want to know what species she is. I have done some research, but I'm still confused. I caught her in Fort Mohave, Arizona in the afternoon time. I have pictures but I was not sure how to upload them to the forum, but if you contact me via email I can send them. If someone could help me I would be very grateful. :D :D

One of the easiest ways to share the pictures with us would be to upload them to https://imgur.com. Click new post at the top left and after you've uploaded the image, share the url with us. :)

Here is the short youtube tutorial on posting pictures on the forum: https://youtu.be/c1Mu4Rw3s8w.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

Solonopsis spp.
Spp. refers to multiple species within a certain genus. Since the queen is only one species, the correct term would be Solenopsis sp.
"God made every kind of wild beasts and every kind of livestock and every kind of creeping things;" (including ants) "and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:25

I believe it is Crematogaster laeviuscula.
Keeper of:
Camponotus Pennsylvanicus,
Camponotus Nearcticus,
Formica Neogagates,
Formica Subsericea
Lasius flavus,
and Prenolepis Imparis.
