Hi,
I am doing a uni assignment on ants and need to know what type of ants these are. They were found in Windsor NSW australia and are medium size.

Thankyou in advance!

The pictures arent very clear but if they have spines, they are a species of polyrachis. If its okay what is your uni assignment about, I'm doing a bachelor of science but there arent any courses that would focus on insects and I'm interested to know what they would be like?

I had to build an insect display that met the needs of a chosen insect. So i built an ant farm :) I am doing agriculture science and am taking an entomology subject. We also have to identify lots of insects and do a pinned display. Its super fun :)
