Hello Fellow ant keepers!
I'm quite new to ant keeping and in fact would like to identify my first ant colony, Could you help me?
-I caught 7 queen ants in about 30 minutes, short after naptual flight in June.
-Me and my Ants are from Hungary, they are city ants.
-I know that they are not exotic ants, and was not able to see anything really special on their body(no spikes, no huge Jaws, they are only black) but what caught my eye, is that sometimes if the light shines on them their ghasters seem semi transparent, or Glass like.
-The workers are 3mm long MAX (I was generous here)
-And the queen is about 1 CM to 1.5 CM large.
And my pictures below(please excuse my DIY macro camera):
I'm looking forward for your answers! Thank you!

Re: Ant Queen, and worker identification
Lasius sp.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
