What kind of ant and is is it a queen?

So I went back a day or so later and caught some of the workers that were under the same rock, the other rock seems empty but there were not a lot of workers to begin with there.
They are in a jar.
They are digging and have no queen.
Should I put one of the Queens in with them?
One looks like she passed away already. Not quite curled up though, but it's a tad early to hibernate. I'll let it sit in the tube for a while and see what happens.
The other was alive and well last time I checked.

Does that mean they need to be fed? Or left alone? Still. Learning

If they had workers they probably have used up most or all of their food stores. So yes, you should feed them. If you can, go back to the colony and collect what workers you can, and brood as well.

I wouldn't know which nest belgonged to which queen. Wouldn't the wrong workers kill the queen?

If they are the same species, they might accept, but they might not. (The latter is more likely) If they are different species, the queen is doomed.
