I found a small queen ant in my yard and she has very small workers. You can tell by the size of cotton threads compared to my queen! It was extremely difficult to get a picture with as much detail as it has. Can anyone identify what species this is?

So unfortunately I think these pictures may be a little to grainy for an Id. May I suggest a slightly smaller picture not trying so hard to zoom in and focus. As it stands I'm finding it very difficult to even put her to a family, I believe she's in the Myrmicinae family... but I can't be sure because what I need to see to put her there is at the perfect fuzz. Perhaps someone with a younger or keener eye can make out the detail... but I tried adjusting the sharpness and the contrast and can't get a concrete deduction..
Ants are life's most successful invaders. Understand and respect that power.

Pheidole Queen.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
