Please help me find out what ant species my queen ant is! I caught these ants in Penn State and seem to get along with other queens of their species.

I would guess Lasius (Neo) Niger, maybe even Lasius Flavus.
If it's the first, I don't think that the queens will be friends for very long. ^^'
Also I doubt that she is 1mm as stated in the link. Looks more like 8-10mm

Can somebody please have a look? Thanks.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

They are not interested in fighting in founding stages, unless the clasutral chambers is breached. Have even seen some phedolie and invicta colonies getting along in close nest

does look like neoniger, and yes, the queens will most likely kill each other either during or immediately after the founding stage though by now they are probably a mature colony

Or they are all dead. ^^
Be it by starvation, by accident, by sickness.

I just prefer that these kind of posts have at least one answer so other people may use the pictures (if available) as reference for IDing there own queens.

That's why I point them out. ;)
Plus some posts are not even worth it.

For example:
No picture = Removal of post.
Picture no longer available = Removal of post.

It's that easy for me. ;)
Oh and to find unanswered ID topics you can go to Quick Links (top left) and select unanswered topics. But let me take care of it. I consider it part of my duty to evaluate them, point out worthy topics and to clean up the useless topics.

+20 Appreciation

Points Becuase if you try one page of unanswered topics, it is such a pain due to Complicsted IDS and care asking.
