Size: 10 mm
Color: Orange-ish
Caught: Near a field and forest, near the base of a mountain. It was around 90 degrees, cloudy and humid. Located in Western Washington. Actually caught 3 of them on a sidewalk in different areas.

Look at that fat gaster she's about to explode! So I believe it's a Formica Sp. But if it is wait for a better ID Formica are not any easy one for me to get right.

Lasius pallitarsis is most likely, based on your location, but Lasius cannot be identified to the species without a view of the hairs on the antennae and the teeth on the mandibles.
