Please help ID Queens

I caught these in the evening on a sidewalk, they were everywhere. I only had a bottle to gather them but as soon as I got home I separated them all.

Please help with the ID, need to also know if they need to eat while in founding stage and if they can have multiple queens per colony.

Thanks a million ant friends!

Lasius pallitarsis or Lasius neoniger. At this time of year, they cannot be identified without a view of hair coverage on the antennae and the teeth on the mandibles. They are claustral and monogynous.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
