Re: New Queen!
Lasius niger is so rare in North America that ant keepers never find them, according to Batspiderfish. The queen you have is probably Lasius americanus, which somewhat resembles Lasius niger.
"God made every kind of wild beasts and every kind of livestock and every kind of creeping things;" (including ants) "and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:25
Re: New Queen!

Re: New Queen!
Can you take as close of a picture that your camera can manage with more light? It's difficult to tell a lot of the non-common genera without size and hair reflecting light. I personally am not comfortable taking a guess with what I see, though my posts on this bored are always guesses anyways.
I'd still guess Lasius Sp. based on what I see, but it also does look like she could be Tapinoma
EDIT: Measure her as well.

Stick a ruler or measuring tape next too her when you do, if possible
