so i have been trying to learn up on my new hobby, learning the basics of taxonomy, but im still new, and i need some help, and or confirmation and or schooling.
i think i have all solenopsis
here are todays queens (and one male) caught in louisiana in four locations, 5 times. Each tube is a different ant, they are all different enough i figure i might have at least, invicta and xyloni, maybe richteri. are there other species i should look into for louisiana?
all have a big cheshire shaped gap behind their thin jaws. does this make them all solenopsis or are other genera have that toothy gap?
all about 7mm
thank you

Could someone please try to help? Thanks.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

All look decently like a solenopsis, either invicta or xyloni
