This queen was found on August 6th, 2018. I found her as I was leaving work that day and luckily I had a test tube as always. She was incredibly fast and super hard to catch. She is around .5 inches or so with a super big gaster that seemed to have a silvery shine to it froma certain angle, as you can see in one of the pictures. ImageImageImageImageImage
Colonies:
--Tetramorium Caespitum
--Camponotus pennsylvanicus

Formica spp
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Is it a social parasite?

She doesn't appear to be a social parasite. So she's fully claustral and should start laying eggs ina few days to 2 weeks if she's stressed.
Ants are life's most successful invaders. Understand and respect that power.

Can we see pictures of the gaster? I agree with Forimca, but I'm tentative to say the exact species.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

I found these 2 beauties on August 10th, 2018. Through extensive research I believe them to be Formica Subscericea, but since Im a first time ant keeper I don't have any real experience to back me up
