I dug these up in flat ground , in the shade between a couple trees but not near any roots or anything, the soil was very soft, there was not very much visible nest above ground, just a couple holes, and inside was maybe 10-12 workers and at least two queens that I was able to capture. I am assuming they were queens, in the test tube I have found eggs recently. The "queens" are very active and around 8-9mm and appear black, or very dark brown, to my ***** eye. I tried to get clear pics, but I am ill equipped to take proper photos of ants it appears.

you have 2 queens. To be honest it would be easier to identify if I had a clearer pic of the workers.
