Caught her July 20 on a beach mid eastern Ontario on a beach no less. It was a windy 30deg day and she must have blown/flown across the lake. Very aggressive movments and easily agitated when ever I peak at her. with in 3 days she shed her wings and started laying eggs as seen in the photos. 12-14mm long. mid section has a reddish brown look to it.

Formica sp. from the pallidefulva group.
