Help identifying if ant is a queen or not

Hello, i'm new to ant keeping and i was out looking for queens when i saw this ant that looked completely different from any other ant i'd seen all day. Is this a queen ant? i saw it had a large back end and hoped my gut feeling was right and i went in for the capture and succeeded but i don't know if it is a queen or not because the middle (thorax i think?) doesn't look big enough to support wings. help would be appreciated.

(and sorry about picture quality it was taken on my tablet because it is the best thing i have for zooming in)

(also sorry about not uploading directly, my router atm is going mental and this is the best i can do, im basically online by a very slim thread )

Unfortunately i dont think that ant is a queen. In queens the middle part (thorax or mesosoma) is more thick as it has to support the wings and wing muscles. However your picture is quite small and blurry so maybe im wrong but its likely that it isn't a queen. If the ant has wing scars then its definitely a queen.

It is very likely that you have just caught a supermajor worker. If you take a better picture then i can help you more but it looks like a worker to me. You may have to release it back from where you found it.
