When: <2:30 PM >
Where: in sage tundra but worked soil of garden

Appearance: elongated gaster, yellow tufts of what looks like fur

Well she is really pretty..... ..... but she's not an ant. She is what's called a velvet ant, witch really is not an ant at all.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Maybe, but I have heard that cow killers are larger. Maybe that's not true though.

Really depends what sp. The one shown, is indeed a "cow killer" There is also "mini" velvet ants, which are like 5mm and sting do not hurt nearly as bad. I am not sure I would call this "cow killers"
