Size: Around 20ish mm
When: First seen at 6 pm on August 6th, taken photos of at 8 pm August 6th
Where: My house
Appearance: Black with kind of gold-ish, maybe translucent abdomen.
Behaviour: For the first few minutes, just panicked, after a while she just stood there and then attempted to break out

Defiantly a Camponotus major maybe pennsylvanicus? Antwiki say that pennsylvanicus probably does not live in your area, so probably not. Someone else who lives in your area will most likely know the species.
Hope this helps! :D

Thank you so much! It must be camponotus as I don't see pennsylvanicus in my area. Thanks for the help! :)

Probably C. parius. And i also have that species in my area .
Favorite ant:
Polyrhachis

Keeping:
-Polyrhachis rastellata sadly
-Unkown small red black ant, maybe pharaoh

Lost 5 queens

Beginners must not keep Polyrhachis! They are very picky about what they eat.
