Found this queen in central Ohio, US

I'm not sure of her sp. but she is just over 1/4 inches long and seems to have a nice temperament. Any help with identification would be very much appreciated!

So does anyone have an idea what sp. this queen may be? She's laid a bundle of eggs about the size of sand grains and I'm really curious what I'm dealing with. Maybe Lasius niger or Tetramorium caespitum?

Looks like you haven't actually uploaded any pictures, or selected the wrong link to the pictures? They're not showing in any case.
Check out http://antwiki.org/wiki/United_States that should allow you to narrow down the list of possible species.
