Hello!
My son, who will turn 11 in January is absolutely besotted with Ants and has been for about 2 years.
He has three small colonies, all of which are Lasius Niger. Two of the queens he caught himself at the last nuptial flight this year.
Now, I know kids can be flippant about their interests, but he tells
me he wants to be a myrmecologist!
For his birthday, he has asked if he could go to a bug or ideally any related day out / experience. I came across Antcon 2023 in Carmarthen, but unfortunately its sold out.
Could anyone recommend any event I could take him to?
Thanks in advance.
Jon

I'm not sure of any events. But, if he ever needs help with one of his colonies, I would be willing to help!Jonny5hall wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 8:54 amHello!

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
