I just got interested in Ant keeping from the youtube recommendations craze. I was a bit sad to find out that theres barely any activity for Halifax in terms of ant keeping. Is there anyone nearby?

I'm in Maine, which is kind of close. We're going to be seeing many of the same ants around the same time.

Cool, now I just have to sit around till end of winter.

Hello! I am from Halifax!
Although I am just starting and I don't have any queens yet, so I am not technically an ant keeper yet!

keeper (hopefully) of camponotus
I'm from Halifax and I'm picking this up for the first time. Anyone know any halifax hotspots for queens? xD
any area with loads of greenery and water flow near by can be an ideal place to look for them.
Well i guess I"m in luck, there is a pond beside my apartment building with some flowing water and a nature trail, and I managed to catch one there
