My colony is now 2 years old!
If you're wondering which colony it is, it's my Camponotus parius colony. 🥳

Thats awesome do ants eat cake.? Because if they do, you can celebrate with them by giving the a two year anniversary cake🥳

I probably don't have much time or ingredients for cake (a small one might be enough but I don't think they will eat it). But I will give them something they rarely eat and maybe also something they never tried before. And if you're wondering, I gave them a new outworld and a roach covered with honey for their first birthday.

I really do hope!
And just now I gave them a Turkestan roach covered with brown sugar water (it's a call back for their first birthday's meal), two raisins and a piece of honey comb wet down with a little water. They seem to really enjoy it.

Lol, Camponotus are usually not that picky, although a lot of Google images show them tending to "ant cows" (aphids, mealybugs, leafhoppers etc). Also I think I heard somewhere that says Camponotus require urea in order to reach 5+ years of age, although I'm not entirely sure if it's true.Antloverhuman wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 1:43 amAYYY past me they did get that old but can't celebrate cuz they don't fricking eat anythingAntloverhuman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 9:54 amOoh thats so nice. Also when you said they need urea to grow, my first thought was to piss on them and immediately after my brain went "WTF DID YOU JUST THINK?!"
