I am such an idiot
So I planned to heat my first and only queen, and I bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001D6IUB6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 thinking it would be a good idea. I left it on the end of her tube and left her for 3 hours. Coming back in 2 hours, the tube was hot to the touch, and my queen dug into her water in attempt to escape the heat and died of overheating.

Mistakes:
-Not testing the heating cable
-Not giving the queen a escape route
-Useing a beer keg heating cable on a test tube.

That should work. Don't heat the entire tube, though. Only a small section of it.

I did.
I guess glass conducts heat better that I thought.

I think something designed to heat up large volumes of liquid will start significantly hotter than what pet-owners use.

Sorry about your loss. I'm sure this year will be fruitful for you.

Thanks for the condolences.
