I had a polyrachis rastellata queen ant with an antennae and a part of her leg lost, but as I have seen injured queen ants founding colonies,I thought it was alright.About 1 month later,I checked up on her and she was dead.one leg was stuck to the cotton. As I was taking her out, without tugging, that leg fell out!

I'm sorry to read this. Have you caught another queen?
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
