Sending ants for identification
Hello AC Family, noobie here, i was wandering if anyone knew where i could send a specimen to be identified. I have a few different types that im very curious about. I do not have any pictures to post. I have found a few different types between work and home. The ones is really curious about are these tenny tiny red girls in my driveway. They are small and have some form of a major smaller then a grain of rice. Any information is greatly appreciated. I look forward to starting my keeping adventure with you guys.
Re: Sending ants for identification
If you post some photos we can identify them.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

Re: Sending ants for identification
The first image looks like formica and the other ones are definitely crematogaster. Have a look at antmaps.org they can show you what species live in your area and you can see for yourself witch one looks the most like your ants.
