Weird Fire Ant Food Preferences
I have a small colony of Solenopsis Invicta that is about 15-20 workers strong at the moment. With all other things they just eat what they can, they'll eat fruits and candy and everything sweet and sugary, but when it comes to protein they are extremely picky. I've tried super worms, meal worms, crickets, roaches, etc. The only protein foods they will willingly eat are turkey, dog food, and cricket food. I try to mostly feed them turkey, but it dries up and gets hard relatively quickly. I don't really trust how healthy the other two options are for ants. Does anyone else have a similar issue with their ants?
