Let’s say I cooked chicken or beef for me and my family, would it still be edible for ants?

Yes but only some species would eat it.

Like SYUTEO, some will, my T. immigrans colony loves meat.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Thank you, that is good to know. I've got trouble finding protein that my T. caespitum do accept. I will give that a try.
Is it best practice to give it to them cooked (but unseasoned)? Raw meat can be a health hazard for humans and pets, so I suppose ants could be affected as well?

Probably unseasoned, but I don't think raw would hurt them.

Ants in the wild can eat rotting meat and many species are often found feeding on animal carcasses so I guess raw meat should be ok. Remember to remove any chunks they didn't finish or else their enclosure will start to smell.
