well shoot its a sqaure box with a smaller box in the side of it and dose she move to lay more eggs in a dif spot ? as the spot she moved to was the extra fruit flies and now it dont look like any fruit flie is in there at all how much do they eat ? or is it random depends on how hungry they are ? thank you so much for helping me out alot sorry im new to this
I don't know why the queen sometimes moves, and feed them a cricket or 15 fruit flies a week.

i put a really small cricket leg in there and they tossed it to the side like they dont want it so i put one fruit flie in there dead to see what they do with that to see if there full or they just dont want it

Ok, I think they are probably full.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!

thats what i was thinking then i put a fruit flie in there and they took it back in their hive but i only put one to test it idk if they ate it or not but my best guess they took the fruit flie to save it tell they are needing the food

That would be my guess too. But don’t keep feeding them, because if they don’t eat it it will mold.

do u know how to get the jello cup that antcananda use for his i know its high protin as well or will Camponotus sansabeanus not like that type of food (im talking when they get into a bigger house when around 100+ workers ) i know if they get into a bigger house to fast they will die


they are going to the bathroom pooping in the little hive thing i can take it off but if i do its the same peace of glass as the workers and queen is always at and they are really fast how do i go about cleaning the poop up im sure that will mold to ? and thank you for telling me that fruit flies can mold as well

I have tried to Find AntsCanada’s protein cups but I can’t. I don’t think you need to worry about the poop, it does not mold to bad, but you could buy spring tails and put them in there.

how can i buy them ? and even if the box is about a fist size ? (really small) and what is it called spring tails im looking on amazon now and they got some but they got few names with spring tails i dont want to order the wrong ones and have it not do its job
