Colobopsis' honey
I tried to feed my queen with my honey flavoured syrup (we don't have honey because we ran out of honey). She just ignores it and protects her eggs. What am I going to do? Can someone pls help me?
Re: Colobopsis' honey
I am uncertain if colobopsis are semi or fully claustral but she is probably just not hungry or might have it lather/when you are not looking. When did you catch her?
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony

You can also try sugar water. They are very picky eaters. It's also important to note that not all species of Colobopsis are semi cluastral.

April 30, 2022. I found it resting in my marigold plant. She has wings before but she sheds them after 1 day then, after 3 days she already laid 3 eggs.

Nice! Interesting as I have heard marigolds keep ants away

You have a lot of ants. Is it hard to keep them all alive? Because if you are in a busy day, you have to feed them, clean up their outworlds, etc. Some people have a schedule.SolenopsisKeeper wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 6:06 pmNice! Interesting as I have heard marigolds keep ants away

Most are founding, and I sometimes forget about my invicta for a few days lol. Poor invicta. I kind of just sit down for a few minutes a day, feed my Floridanus and give my Odontomachus a fly or two. My other ant colonies don’t eat a lot.Joshua09 wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 6:20 pmYou have a lot of ants. Is it hard to keep them all alive?
