Hello, i bought some crickets which are already dead when i bought them, they where from 1/2 weeks ago. Can someone help me if i stil can give these to my ants? I will cook them before giving ghem.

It’s a gambale, but some ants won’t take old food. Species? Usually they are filled with bacteria and maggots if dead for that long…

Anybody have experience?

My Camponotus will accept old food(Food they didn’t eat) but they don’t use a lot of it, I would recommend getting flightless fruit flies from a pet store as they breed on their own, so you only need a new culture every few months. Most ants accept these.(Live or dead)
