My ant colony stopped eating yesterday, I give them a dead, frozen, small cockroach (The size of an ant) every day, mostly because they are easy to kill, capture and find, they are really abundant here where I live, Mexico; Anyway,They are not eating it, they leave the cockroach without a bite and they don't seem *** SPAM *** eating it:They are a Solenopsis Invicta colony and they constatly forage ignoring the cockroach,What should I do :!: ?

They are probably bored of getting the same food over and over again. Try giving them soft boiled eggs and see if they like it.
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony

It could also have to do with the fact that they might be going into hibernation.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

I do not think that is that, They are solenopsis invicta and according to what I have read they do not go into hibernation, although it is also an option, I do not know much about ants due to inexperience since I am starting in this hobby and it is my first colony.

maybe they prefer a good fight. Meaning that it should at the very least still twitch a little. Maybe cut the next one up.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Everyday? How big is your colony?

Ants won't overeat and when overfed they will leave their food alone. If your colony is on the smaller side, every day might be too much.
