Am I feeding my ants enough?
I have a new carpender ant colony with 6 workers. I have been feeding them a whole meal work cut in half or a couple very small crickets , and a drop of some sort of sugar every week. I just want to make sure this enough food. Thank you for your help!

If you see lots of repletes (workers with swollen gasters) then you should be feeding them enough.

uh... I dont really see any... are they easy to spot? ive never looked for any, so I might have just missed them. If I dont see them, how much more would u suggest giving them? (thank you for the help!)
Re: Am I feeding my ants enough?
I feed my colonies everyday (not a lot of food at once tho), but if I see lot of repletes, I would usually stop feeding them for a few days. Oh and, depending on species, repletes can be very easy or very hard to spot (some species don't even have repletes) but in Camponotus, they should be easy to spot.
