Relocated queen diet

Hello, I used to have a colony of 5 workers and a queen that were in an AntsCanada hybrid nest mini, however every worker died and only the queen remained, I relocated her back to a testube 4 weeks ago, I was wondering if I needed to provide her with protein and/or sweets?

You should provide them with both.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

The queen unfortunately died with no eggs in the end, she was left with privacy, a small cockroach leg and a drop of honey, she never recovered.

im sorry to hear that. It is indeed important to wait until they have AT LEAST 20 workers before moving into ant farms, the more the maerrier
