Knowing how much to feed ants
I've had my colony of solenopsis invicta for about a month and one thing I'm unsure of is how much to feed them. I've been feeding them twice a week, but I noticed today that they keep returning to a insect corpse that it looks like they'd already stripped clean. Does that mean they're hungry, and I should feed them more often or larger insects? In general, how can I tell if I'm under- or overfeeding them?
Re: Knowing how much to feed ants
Just make an educated guess and feed them that. If they eat all of it, give them more until they stop eating. Better to overfeed than underfeed. Just make sure you clean there setup well if there is a lot of old insect shells
