Feeding My New Camponotus Ant Colony

Hi i have a queen camponotus ant from South Eastern Oklahoma. I checked today and she has 4 workers moving about. I was wondering how long i can wait to feed them. I know when the Phoenix Empire was fed there were around 12-20 workers, but i also know they are Solenopsis ants.
Reason I am asking is because i am supposed to be going on vacation in a week and will be gone for 2 weeks. Will my ants be okay for that amount of time? Should i feed them before i go? Should I choose not to go on vacation?

give them a baby cricket leg and a drop of honey and connect them to a clean test tube, the rest is in the hands of the colony, go enjoy yourself. If you’re worried then have someone stop by after the first week to see how they’re doing. Have fun on your trip!
