I made the following setup for my Pachycondyla. She seems happy and has lost her wings.
I included a test tube/water setup covered to be dark. Soil and a rock to hid under. There is an additional small cap of water and of honey.
I have no experience with semi-claustral ants. She is very active. I am assuming she is "hunting" but I have not seen her at the water, or the honey. I have given her small bits of cut up super worm and roly poly (live and pre-killed). She does not seem to be interested at all. It has been about a week now. I am concerned about her not eating.
Is there a better food to try?

Re: Feeding Pachycondyla Queen
I thought most people were feeding pre-killed rather than live.....
The rolly was because i read some Pachy's were isopod specialists.
I threw in the smallest superworm I had, she showed no interest and it just crawled away from her.
