Can ants eat freeze dried mealworms?

I want to feed my ants mealworms but my local pet store only has freeze dried mealworms, i don't know if my ants would eat them and i don't want to waste money since i don't have much atm.

I think it's a case of try it and see i'm afraid.

My Lasius.N don't seem to like mealworms that i've bought alive and then frozen myself, but there are only a few workers at the moment so im not sure if colony size is a factor. Also I've been feeding them leftover from my own meals so they might just be full and not hungry enough to bother with them.

Is there an option to order some online and have them delivered? Try a reptile store, they sell a variety of live foods.

Seem to be having a similar issue with some of my coloines.
One of my campo colonies will only ever go for their honey and not touch the crickets or apple or seeds. I even tried giving them some raisin toast. and nothing.
