Is it okay to give my ants cooked pieces of chicken or pork for protein? I can’t get feeder incects and was wondering if cooked meat was an option?

You can feed cooked meets to ants occasionally but it should never be their main source protein.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

What should I do instead? Incects? My parents don’t want feeder incects in the house so I’m looking for other options

Ahh the parent dilemma. This goes for how much wiggle room youre allowed.

If you have a little wiggle room and your allowed dead freeze dried insects that are pre killed looong before the price date then I would recommend that I would soak it for about 5-10 minutes so all the inside juices moisten up

If there's no wiggle room I'm sure there are foods designed for animals that may work I've heard in a pinch people used wet dog food kibble. Cat food. Honestly ants are pretty adaptable and can survive on human proteins how well is a question of keeper to keeper.
Ants are life's most successful invaders. Understand and respect that power.

Thanks. Yea, it took a few weeks to even get them to agree to having ants, but n the end, they said “fine”, so I’ll try to see if there is any wiggle room here

Do you know of a pet store in your area? They may have feeder insects for lizards that you can use for your ants. Just keep it in the freezer. This will ensure you do not have a number of insects scattered about and will preserve them for a while.
