solenopsis invicta nutrition help

hello all

i have kept my solenopsis invicta for couple of months and enjoy every bit of it

but im now fed up of giving my ants honey and i think their are fed up too lol

is their a fruits which their will enjoy having and that its high in sugar so the workers get their daily dose of sugar

apples are a popular choice but sugar water works great and i have even heard syrup is used.

never try that should i cut it up i leave it how it is ?

i would cut a slice off. just change it out every day because the apple will dry out. just thinking about this have you tried dried fruit maybe if you hydrate it or just leave it how it is...

Fire ants will eat basically anything. Candy bars, fruit, ice cream... anything..

Just had a great reaction from my Myrmica queens when I gave them green grapes. One is still eating since the morning.
