I was wondering if I could feed those, cut in two pieces, to my Lasius Niger colony (or other Lasius ants) as a main protein source or if they'd be better of with another (better) proteïne source. Maybe I could give them the beetles as another food source?

Where are you getting them?
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

You could feed them, if you are killing them right before you feed them to the ants, and not buying them freeze dried. Otherwise, L.Niger also like spiders. Make sure they are dead when you feed them, they are ant predators and they may end up eating the ants instead.
Keeper of Lasius Niger colony. :D
