Older fruit flies

So i've just started antkeeping and i see alot of people saying i should give my ants (lasius niger) fruitflies. I fed them 1 day 1 i got the ants and 2 days have passed. Now all fruitflies in the testtube are dead and i dont know if I can still give them to my ants as i see many topics talking about bacteria and stuff.
Basicly my question is: can i still feed my ants the fruitflies or do i have to buy new ones every 2 days :p

Fruit fly cultures should last a month or more. I don't know how yours died.

Did you put the fruit flies in direct sunlight or something? They shouldn’t have died that fast.

Did you get the flies delivered. If you did how long were they in transport and how were their transport conditions like.

To be safe I would say don’t feed them to your ants, because they died so quickly that they could’ve been exposed to something.
