When to introduce protein to a new colony

I have a 10 worker (second generation) colony of iridomyrmex bicknelli. I have been feeding them a diet consisting of honey for the past 2 weeks. I was wondering when I should start feeding them protein?

myrmecia pilosula
monomorium sp
iridomyrmex bicknelli
Nylanderia sp
Myrmecia simillima
Pheidole sp
Melophorus sp x3(for sale)
Myrmecia fulvipes (for sale)

You should start now. Honestly you should have started a bit earlier if you wanted quick growth of your colony. Feed them both honey and protein in small quantities every once in a week and that should be good
