Pogonomyrmex Barbatus

Are Pogonomyrmex Barbatus queens fully claustral or semi-claustral, and if the latter, how often should they be fed? Also, any suggestions on type of food are suggested, though I've heard that grass seed works best.

North American Pogonomyrmex love Blue 100 by byFormica. They find it irresistible and in my colonies, they take it over anything else.

Thanks for the heads-up, guys. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting any Pogo queens this year, as I was unable to catch any mated ones. Looks like I'll have to try again next summer.
