Great new outworld!

Hey guys!
I just wanted to share with you these new outworlds i just got.

Cost: $2 each
Store: FiveBelow
Where: USA, they have stores in 33 states. Look at their website for locations.

Now, they arn't actually outworlds, they are stackable drink dispensers, but i consider myself thrifty, and handy enough, that i think these will work just fine. I got these at a store called Five Below, its sort of like a dollar store. I couldnt locate these on the website, but if they interest you and you are in a state that has one, maybe you could try going there. They had a bunch, and i might go back lol.

It didnt fit my 16x150mm test tubes perfectly, but the kit provided with the drink dispenser had washers, that held everything together tightly. I want to cut a hole in the top and add screen, but that will be later, ill update this then.

Here are some pics of the dispenser, and of a test tube to show how it could work for you.

Nice! Really cool idea. You should add some decorations. Grout is a really good base and you can layer over it with some sand and put some aquarium plants in it.

UPDATE

So i moved my Camponotus pennsylvanicus into this as an outworld. Ive also made a few others for my other ants that needed outworlds. So far so good id say.

So i drilled some holes in the top and added cotton for air

Then, i added just sand, some rocks for climbing, water and honey dish.

I attached the nest tube.. taped them together for now.

A heating cable is on the tubes, but they are in a temperature controlled box.. of sorts.
Here are 2 of these outworlds, and another i rigged up out of another storage container lol.

Thanks for checking it out ;)

Hello!! Thank you for sharing your great idea for an out world. I took your advice and went to 2 5below stores in my area. As of now I have 6 of those containers and am thinking of getting more. I figure I can attach a couple of these together at a time. I found tubing that plugs right in to the hole, and it’s tight enough that there aren’t any gaps for ants to escape. I’m so glad you posted this idea. Thank you again!! Was it easy to drill thru the plastic without cracking it?

By any chance do you have a link to the dispensers?
I cannot seem to find them on the FiveBelow site.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but he mentions in the original post they are not on the site it's an in store purchase the only way to get one is find out where the closest one is to you and drive there. .. or call and see first.

Five Below isn't present in SD.
