C. Americanus setup

Hi, I’m extremely new to ant keeping and am thinking about starting a colony of American Sugar ants ( C. americanus) and I was wondering on tank size. I have various sizes of tanks but was wondering if a 20 or 30 gallon would work for a mature colony. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
