Ant formicarium recommendations
I have a camponotus queen and the eggs are getting big. I am starting to work on the formicarium for the colony. I am thinking of getting a large ant tower. Does anyone have recommendations on what substrate I should use in it? And any diet recommendations for the colony?

I would say crushed wood fiber for substrate. Fruit flies and sugar water would be a food source.BM4747 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 6:42 pmI have a camponotus queen and the eggs are getting big. Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
