I'm thinking I'll get a big container, but, like, how big exactly? :?:

It depends. As long as they have space for foraging and putting trash.

So, like, would 1ft x 1ft be good?

Thats plenty. I have a 15x4 outworld for my 900 worker colony, and it has worked gloriously

OMG! I just checked on them and she has her first nanitics! The nanitics are really small, and the queen has another batch of brood, and I could not open the container in fear of one of her nanitics getting out. How many nanitics do I need to move them into the camponotus hybrid nest!? :?:* Also, I forgot to tell you, but I named the queen Queen Anne or Annie for short. That is what I will refer to her from now on.

*I need this question answered ASAP!

You should probably wait until 25-50 before putting them in the Camponotus hybrid nest.

I think I got your question answered ASAP, that was less than an hour!
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Thanks! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was on vacation and then had school. I think everything is set for my ants to eventually move into their nest! Also, I just caught a fertilized thief ant dealate. :D

Nice, I caught a Thief Ant queen earlier this year, and she will have workers soon! :D

Wow! That's exciting! The thing is, I've found that I'm much better at keeping larger ant species, so I think I might give it to one of my friends, who's also into ants.
