Is it really that bad to have over population of springtails? One way to reduce them is to add something like a big chunk of fruit and wait for springtails to swarm it and then remove the fruit
ahh that is,is it actually that bad? will they affected the ant? i see them walk around even in the nest...maybe not very crowded just kinda a lot....and they got no problem with sunlight too
Not bad until springtails can’t find food and start dying in mass numbers.
what happen after they died in mass number?

Mine did, and now it stinks and is a constant cycle of overpopulation and verge of extinction.

normally,how long should i reduce their population by the food method that you just reccomend

You can just see if there are tons of them on the surface. If you remove too many just add the removed ones. I would say every week because they reproduce very fast
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony
