Re: Feedback request: mini paludarium design
You're very welcome. I hate to be the bearer of even more bad news, but that fish tank won't be able to house a lot of fish. It holds roughly 25l, now you'll want some soil, plants and rocks so effectively there's about 22 l to play with. An adult danio would need six litres of water, so that limits the school to 3.
Tetras might be a better option, but even then you'd only have room for about 7 of them...

Re: Feedback request: mini paludarium design
Hmm, that's true. I still have plenty of time to make those decisions though, so I'm going to spend some more time researching and asking questions before setting anything in stone.Hawkeye wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 10:18 amYou're very welcome. Re: Feedback request: mini paludarium design
Happy to help where I can. Like I said I've done a ton of research to get where I am now. Like you by asking questions, reading up, watching YouTube clips etc. My plan is set in broad strokes, but they change with new information, practical limitations (Like costs) etc. Just posted the latest version on the thread.
I'll gladly share any of the information I've gathered with you.

Re: Feedback request: mini paludarium design
Hey there! Glad you found my ideas inspiring and I certainly won't mind offering some feedback!
Ok first things first, this paludarium would be for one of your Lasius niger colonies, right?

Re: Feedback request: mini paludarium design
Hey Hoojoos,
Thanks so much for your message, and sorry it took so long to get back to you, things have been hectic lately.
Yes, the paludarium would be for a lasius niger colony, but I've realised from previous responses to this post that I was being way too ambitious so I'm going to keep the fish tank and the formicariums separate, but interdependent.
I'd still appreciate your insights, as I still wanna have a paludarium eventually, but I'll wait until we have more space.

I've decided to keep them separate to maximize the space for the critters.Hawkeye wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 4:49 amAny progress?LadyManga wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 10:25 amHmm, that's true.
