Grout nest

Hey I'm going building my first nest with grout but I've bought grout that has a high water resistance but I've also got some perlite and sand ! If I mix in the perlite would that help the absorbing or there seems to be concrete based grout our there too but I don't want to waste the grout I have

Yes i think sanded grout absorbs water well and you could be able to mix perlite to enhance that ability. I recommend D Colony's youtube channel. He makes great nests from sanded grouts and you could get an idea from there
