I am receiving a polyrhachis colony sooon and I am very excited for them, unfortunately I can't find much information on a setup for them (apart from them being weaver ants)
So I have a few questions I hope someone can answer for a naturalistic setup:
-Should I introduce woodlice/springtails (I am very worried they will carry something that will kill the ants), since polyrhachis dives nest in high places I don't think they should cause mold to grow in the dirt,?
-Do polyrhachis prefer to nest in dead or alive plants?
-Are there any species of plants I should avoid or try to get for them?
-Is cleaning stones in soap enough so I can use them at the bottom of the vivarium?
I may ask more questions as I occur
Thankyou for looking at my questions, I hope someone can answer
