so i moved one of my lasius niger colonies (about 20-30 workers) into a small natural nest, and they started to make one big hole. then once they were all moved in i noticed that the workers were not coming out! it was been a week and there has been no evidence that any workers went out to forage, i have half a superworm a spider and honey outside and they wont come out and eat it. what do i do

Just keep feeding them as normal, they will eat as needed. its highly likely they are eating a small amount at night, just not enough to be noticable.

you are right except only 1 came out!!!! i saw one lone ant drinking some honey, guarded the nest, and attempted to pull the whole spider by herself before patrolling around the nest. whats with this!! they pulled straws for whoever does all the work!

Hahaha. No idea how they decide which one risks its life to go get food. I am sure she is feeding all the others with what she gathers. so youre good!

You must not get any sleep to be sure that only one a day comes out.
